CABO WABO RADIO is a 24 hour a day round the clock Rock Party broadcasting worldwide from the World Famous Cabo Wabo Cantina in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

The studios are built to the left of the stage in the middle of the club, overlooking the crowds every night of the week.

The programming, like the club, is "All UP, All Rock, all Party, All the Time" and the music is "New Rock, Hot Rock, Indie and forgotten Rock." It's "Rock Radio the Way God intended It!"

Cabo Wabo Radio was a concept Sammy came up with in 2003 and registered the domain name. In May of 2007, four years later, Woody Nelson contacted Shadoe Stevens with the idea of approaching Sammy together about developing the concept.

In June, work began with Shadoe creating the branding and programming, and Woody moving to Cabo with his own equipment to set up shop and begin integrating what would become a visionary concept in rock programming.

Cabo Wabo Radio, "All UP, All Rock. All Party, All the Time" featuring both live and programmed began broadcasting from studios inside the legendary Cabo Wabo Cantina in Cabo San Lucas Mexico. The music, New Rock, Hot Rock, Cutting-Edge, and Classic Rock around the clock, was designed to be "a World Party of Biblical Proportions."

The Sneak Peek Pre-Launch Celebration of Cabo Wabo Radio began at noon (Mountain Time) Thursday, October 11th, and continued through Sunday night at midnight October 14th.

Sammy wanted to give people around the world a glimpse of what was to come at Cabo Wabo Radio. It all started off with The CABO WABO 55, "Fifty Five Hours Of Music You Can't Drive Without." Visitors heard the most exciting new rock being created around the world and the hottest rock from the past.

All this set the stage for "CABO WABO LIVE," a gigantic party and concert featuring Sammy Hagar and the Wabos broadcasting Saturday, October 13 at 7 pm Mountain Time, celebrating Sammy's 60th Birthday Bash LIVE from the Cantina.

Cabo Wabo Radio co-founders Shadoe Stevens and Woody Nelson were there LIVE in the Cantina for the biggest party of the year. There was exciting LIVE music, interviews with Sammy, along with some of his friends like Kenny Chesney and Toby Keith, and surprise guests, plus hundreds of people from around the world who were in the Cantina for Sammy's big birthday party and the very first offering from Cabo Wabo Radio. People stood in line outside the club, around the block, for up to 28 hours to get tickets.

The pre-launch was a stunning success. Average listening times for traditional radio on the web is about 20 minutes. Thousands of people joined us on line around the world and the average listening time for Cabo Wabo Radio grew from two hours to four hours and forty five minutes that weekend.
